Calling all photographers …
Southern California is a hotbed for creativity and artists behind the lens. At FORE Magazine, we strive to showcase as much of this great work as possible. In 2026, FORE Magazine began running a page entitled Parting Shot where we print a single, high-resolution image from a golf photographer alongside a firsthand, personal note explaining the backstory of the photo.
Need a visual?
If you’d like to submit your favorite photo for consideration in a future issue, we invite you to do so by emailing the editor of FORE Magazine, Adam Hawk, at ahawk@scga.org.
Photos should be: High-resolution, original, taken in Southern California, appropriate for print, and lend themselves to a good short story written by you (100 words or less).
We look forward to seeing your work and finding out why your particular photo should be seen by 200,000+ members across in Southern California in FORE Magazine.

FORE Magazine is a multi-award-winning quarterly publication from the SCGA that showcases the lifestyle and membership in the Southern California golf scene. In 2026, FORE Magazine won the Best Publication Award at the PGA Show from the International Network of Golf. FORE Magazine prints in January, April, July and October each year and is directly mailed to every member household. It is also available digitally on various platforms.

Photo submission is not a guarantee of use. No unused photos for FORE Magazine will be used by the SCGA on any other platform without permission from the owner. FORE Magazine will pay a licensing fee of $200 for any photograph used in FORE Magazine and reserves all rights thereafter to use on all of platforms including, but not limited to, website, digital magazine, social media.
